After graduating Nova Southeastern University with her JD in 1998, Attorney Fishman was practicing in the civil arena initially but after a few short years she joined the Broward County State Attorney’s Office. She worked her way through County Court in the DUI unit, where she trained at DUI school to learn all about the Intoxilyzer machine and field sobriety exercises. She then moved through the Felony trial unit, where she prosecuted such cases as armed robbery, second-degree murder, grand theft, aggravated assault and battery, burglaries, drug possession and delivery charges, and many more.
She then became highly focused on juvenile law with a primary focus in sex offense crimes and worked her way through the ranks to become a supervisor in the Juvenile Justice Unit. There, she handled hundreds of juvenile delinquency cases ranging from misdemeanors to felonies, including sexual battery cases. Attorney Fishman was responsible for making critical decisions on whether to file criminal charges against juveniles and what charges were filed. She has handled thousands of criminal cases and is a zealous advocate for those wrongfully accused of crimes.
Through her work as a prosecutor and in private practice, Attorney Fishman has established her reputation as a formidable advocate. She fully understands the criminal justice system and uses her knowledge to staunchly protect the rights of clients. Her dedication to achieving the best possible outcome for each client is evident in her careful investigation, as well as her attention to the nuances of negotiation and trial preparation, no matter what type of case she is working on.
